Trailhead Roofing is exactly what should show up in the dictionary under "customer service". From the moment we first talked to Luke, he showed nothing but respect - for us, for our time, for our home, and for our money. He consulted with me and never tried to oversell. When construction was about to start, Dusty picked up right where Luke left off. He came out to our house a day or two before materials were to be delivered and confirmed every bit of the job with me. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. I had one very minor complaint the next day, and they sent guys out the same day to take care of it. Hopefully I won't need anymore roof work done, but if I do, I'll be using Trailhead again.

I called Trailhead months after the hailstorm in April to come look at my roof which was toast along with my gutters and they worked with my insurance company and didn't go over the insurance policy price and actually upgraded to impact resistant for $300 more! They did a great job only need some rain to see how good. I am still picking nails up around the house and they accidentally threw away my gutter inserts I was supposed to reuse cause insurance only paid for one side to be replaced so that bites a little that I have to buy them again. I think it was more a communication issue with the workers than anything. Not intentional I believe. Jacob was awesome to deal with, always in communication with me and the insurance adjuster and would use him over again when the time comes!!! Dusty and his crew got it done in less than a day and were considerate of my dogs and myself while working with me every step of the way, also answering every question asked with explanation! Good job guys!!! Thank you!!!!

I had a great experience with Isaac! He showed up right on time, was very thorough with his inspection, and took the time to explain what he found. He provided a quick, easy-to-understand report afterward, which I really appreciated. I also really appreciated his honesty, he didn’t try to sell me a new roof when it wasn’t needed. It’s always nice to work with someone who is professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward. Highly recommend Isaac for anyone needing a roof inspection!!!

When I reached out to my go to roofing company this year for a check in before winter storms I received alarming news. My roof, which was only 9 years old was in need of total replacement! Surprised by this news, I began reaching out to other roofing companies to obtain quotes for a replacement. As a person with disabilities I can't get up on my roof and walk around with an inspector. Trailhead provided detailed videos of areas that needed attention along with thorough explanations. However it was ultimately the employees response when I mentioned that another company had suggested that I needed an entire new roof. "I would not personally agree with that. Your roof is exhibiting normal wear for its current age, and with regular maintenance likely has many more years of life." They suggested repairing a few damaged shingles on the ridge cap and addressing some nail pops. They didn't ask who the company was. They did disparage other roofers. I trust a Company that can stand on their own reputation without trying to tear down others.

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. I am a licensed insurance adjuster and licensed home inspector, and I have inspected more than 4,000 roofs across the country, coast to coast, including roofs damaged by hurricanes, tornadoes, hail storms, and high winds. I have extensive experience distinguishing legitimate storm damage from conditions that do not warrant an insurance claim. A previous client of mine put his home on the market. The roof was approximately five years old with a 30-year laminate shingle. The home went under contract quickly and was inspected by a third-party licensed home inspector, who noted possible hail damage and recommended having the roof evaluated. The homeowner contacted me to inspect the roof and provide my professional findings. I found extremely small dents on some of the soft metals of the box vents. I chalked those areas and showed them to the homeowner. I explained that there was evidence of very small hail impacts to the soft metals, but the hail was not of sufficient size, severity, or consistency to damage the roof covering. I found no hail damage to the shingles. Then Isaac from Trailhead Roofing was called out by the potential buyer. Isaac made a video of his findings and stated that the roof had "MODERATE hail damage." He claimed the shingles were bruised by hail and that the lifespan of the roof had been dramatically reduced. He also claimed the gutters and fascia had hail damage, despite being unable to produce evidence of those alleged damages in his video. Isaac also stated that the shingles were 40-year shingles when they were actually 30-year laminate shingles. For someone presenting himself as a roofing professional, that is a significant mistake when making an assessment that could affect both an insurance claim and a real estate transaction. Isaac's assessment essentially killed the sale of the property. A few days later, Isaac's supervisor met with me and the homeowner on the roof. The supervisor could not produce the same findings and did not agree with Isaac's assessment of hail damage. The supervisor then changed the stated condition of the roof from hail damage to poor ventilation. That part is extremely important. If the roof had "MODERATE hail damage," as Isaac stated in his video, how does that suddenly become "poor ventilation" when another representative from the same roofing company examines the roof and cannot substantiate the original findings? This is exactly why I have a problem with the roofing-salesman business model. Roofing salesmen have a financial incentive to sell roofs. The goal can become getting an insurance claim filed and hoping a new insurance adjuster agrees with their assessment. If the claim is denied, they can point the finger at the insurance company and make them the bad guy while claiming they are "fighting for the homeowner." Meanwhile, the homeowner may be left dealing with higher insurance premiums, unnecessary claims activity, deductibles, and potentially hundreds or thousands of dollars in additional costs—all because someone wanted to sell a roof that did not need to be replaced. My advice to homeowners is simple: Get an independent evaluation before allowing a roofing salesman to convince you that you need a new roof or file an insurance claim. Roofing salesmen are essentially the newest version of used-car salesmen—just selling a much more expensive product and using a different angle. My issue is not with legitimate roofers who identify and repair actual damage. There are plenty of honest roofing professionals who do excellent work. My issue is with roofing salesmen who make questionable damage assessments when there is a financial incentive attached to the outcome. Based on my firsthand experience with Trailhead Roofing, I would not recommend them. ZERO stars would be my rating if Google allowed it.

I appreciate the detailed review, although I think some important context is missing.

After hearing about Isaac’s inspection, I personally met you and the homeowner at the property and inspected the roof myself. I agreed that Isaac got the hail assessment wrong. I said that on the roof, and I’ll say it here. We’re not going to defend a bad call just because one of our guys made it.

That being said, the assessment didn’t come out of nowhere. The original home inspector had already noted possible hail damage, there were dents in the downspouts and roof vents, and we have a documented date of significant hail in that area. The shingles were also showing substantial deterioration for a roof that was only five years old. Isaac incorrectly identified some of that deterioration as hail damage. He got it wrong, but given everything else present at the property, I can understand how he got there.

When I inspected it, what concerned me more was how prematurely the roof was aging. The attic also did not have the amount of ventilation recommended for its square footage. I showed both of you the problem areas and our ventilation calculations while we were standing on the roof.

You disagreed with the calculation because you believed roof pitch and attic cubic footage should be factored in. I disagreed. Standard attic ventilation calculations are based on attic floor square footage, not the cubic volume created by roof pitch. I’ve also completed ventilation training directly with Lomanco, so this wasn’t something I came up with on the spot.

Calling that an attempt to “change the story” isn’t really fair. I went out there specifically to verify my employee’s findings. He was wrong about the hail, so I corrected him. I would hope that’s what people want the owner of a company to do.

I completely understand the frustration, especially with a real estate transaction involved, and we’ve addressed the original inspection internally. But I don’t think one salesperson misidentifying damage justifies painting our entire company or an entire industry as dishonest used car salesmen.

We got the original hail assessment wrong. I owned it then, and I own it now. I also stand behind what I personally observed regarding the condition and ventilation of the roof.

best regards,
Austin Wiseman

Eddie and Steven did a great job getting my new roof completed Eddie was able to come out to the house and check the current status and then give me options ( shingles class 3 or 4 and a metal roof option). Once an installation date was set, Steven was on site while the job was being done. The crew arrived early to begin the tear off and had the new roof completed by mid day Both Eddie and Steven answered any and all questions/concerns that I had Will definitely recommend Trailhead Roofing
