As a small builder in Northwest Arkansas, I have hired The Gutter Girl on three separate new-construction homes for gutter installation. Unfortunately, my experience has left me disappointed and unwilling to use them again. On two of the three homes, the downspout outlets were installed incorrectly and directed water toward the house instead of away from it. In new construction, buyers almost always hire an inspector before closing, and this issue was identified during the final inspection process. I contacted The Gutter Girl and requested that they correct the installation. Rather than standing behind their work, I was told that because I had already inspected and approved the installation, they would only return if I paid an additional $150 service fee. I disagreed, as this was a workmanship issue that should have been covered under their warranty. They ultimately refused to make the correction. The repair itself is minor and something I could easily fix on my own. The issue is not the cost or complexity of the repair—it’s the principle. When a contractor makes a mistake, especially one that is identified shortly after installation, I expect them to stand behind their work and honor their warranty commitments. Customer service and accountability matter in this industry. Based on my experience, The Gutter Girl did not demonstrate either. I currently have nine additional new-construction homes planned and will not be using their services moving forward. I would not recommend them to builders or homeowners looking for a contractor who stands behind their workmanship and warranty.

The downspout elbows referenced in your review were installed to discharge water to the side of the home, not toward the foundation. Several months passed after installation before this concern was brought to my attention, and the requested change was presented as a preference rather than a defect in workmanship.<br>Even so, I never refused to return. I offered to come back and make the adjustment for a $100 service fee to help cover travel time and fuel, not the $150 stated in your review. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement.<br>I take pride in my work and genuinely care about my customers. If a workmanship issue arises, I make every effort to address it professionally and fairly. I encourage anyone considering my services to look at the many positive experiences shared by other customers and judge my business based on the overall quality of my work and service.
