L&L Builders

We could not be happier with our experience! Building a custom home can be stressful, but working with Skip’s team made the entire process so much easier. From the quality of the craftsmanship to the attention to detail, they truly cared about getting our home right and bringing our vision to life. What impressed us most was their willingness to listen to what we wanted, work through changes and challenges, and make sure the finished home reflected us—not just another standard build. The quality of the work is outstanding, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Our home turned out absolutely beautiful, and we are incredibly grateful for all the hard work that went into it. If you’re looking for a custom home contractor who cares about quality, craftsmanship, and the final result, we highly recommend them. Thank you for building a home that we are proud to call ours!

We chose Skip to build our home because he only does custom homes and is not doing a bunch of “spec” homes on the side. He has dedicated contractors who are very skilled and reliable. We made a design change during the middle of framing as a result of his framer coming up with a modification suggested that more than met our dream of having a bonus area overlooking our property. Most recently Skip arranged to get some of the door hardware replaced and this was almost three years after we moved into our home. Most builders would have said that it was no longer their responsibility.

Choose experience and quality! We were fortunate to have had several people recommend Skip Lacy to us. Skip has far exceeded our expectations in building our new home! He paid close attention to detail and costs and kept us informed each phase of construction. The quality of workmanship really stands out. Any questions or concerns we had were handled quickly and professionally. We appreciated his transparency, organization and commitment to making sure our home met our expectations. Icing on the cake, is that Skip is a very fun person to be around! We would highly recommend using L & L Builders for a smooth, stress free custom home build.

We had a fantastic experience building our home with Skip Lacy and L & L Builders. From start to finish, Skip was incredibly trustworthy and reliable—he always did exactly what he said he would do, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was how easy he made everything for us. We never felt like we had to worry or constantly check in—he stayed on top of every detail and communicated clearly throughout. It’s rare to find a builder who combines quality work with that level of integrity and consistency. If you’re looking for an all-around great builder who takes pride in his work and treats your home like it’s his own, I can’t recommend Skip and L & L Builders enough.

L & L Builders made building a home easy. Skip has great ideas for custom homes and has all of the amazing crews to make it happen. He was always available to answer questions, explain options, and make sure every detail was exactly what we wanted. The craftsmanship and detail throughout our home is exceptional. It is clear he takes pride in his work. A big concern for us was staying within our budget and he kept that in mind from the beginning to the end. He kept us informed the entire time of where we stood in our budget range giving us an opportunity to make informed decisions. Skip also has great ideas to get the look we were going for within budget. He always had our best interest in mind. We felt confident and supported throughout the entire process. If you are thinking of building, use L & L Builders, they are the BEST! He wasn’t just given the title of best custom homes builder, he EARNED it!!!

My husband has known Skip for many years, so when it came time to build, we didn’t have to think twice about who we wanted. Whether it’s a full custom home or a spec house—he can build it. Skip built us a beautiful mother-in-law quarters as a separate unit, attached to our main home through the garage. When you're looking for a builder, you want someone responsive and hands-on—that's non-negotiable. Skip was all of that and more. He was always easy to reach, quick to answer our questions, and full of great ideas throughout the process. He really knows his stuff and helped us make smart decisions, especially when it came to energy efficiency and staying within our vision. What really stood out is that even after the build was finished…we had a warranty issue with a window, and Skip personally stepped in to help take care of it—no hesitation. That kind of follow-through says a lot about his character and how much he stands behind his work. Would highly recommend L&L Builders….5 Stars!

Dream Home!! We met with Skip, owner of L&L Builders a few years ago when we were ready to build our dream home and we knew right away that he understood what was most important to us. Skip helped us take our plans and turned them into our home. He understood our unique needs (for example - full time remote worker) and added sound reduction in the office walls….ensuring small details like that meant a lot. It’s the little things in a home that make it special…like the gorgeous beam for our fireplace that he was able to source. Additionally he was able to take every request we had it make it reality. I would love to build a home again with Skip! Highly recommend him if you are looking for a quality builder in Northwest Arkansas!

Skip Lacy is the real deal. We took our time finding the right builder because we only ever wanted to do this once. We chose Skip because he’s down to earth, experienced, has fair prices, and his portfolio speaks for itself. He never failed to tell it to us straight and we found that to be an important quality when working with your home builder. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of the build. We moved into our dream home on time and on budget. If you’re considering building, you need to talk to Skip.

L&L Builders did a quality job on my home construction. There were a few construction issues that arose during the process. I will add that no home construction is not without its problems. Skip did a good job developing a work around.

Skip did a great job building our house. He will still answer the phone and help us out with random stuff for the house even it has nothing to do with the original build, that was 7 or 8 years ago. The build quality was excellent. There were a couple things we didn't even notice that he came in and made his guys redo. He was onsite constantly checking on the subs. Skip was not scared to tell us when something was not a good idea and why, which saved us a lot money and time. If we ever move I will not even look at using someone else for a build. You will not find a more honest guy.
