We are proud of the finished bathroom and custom shower, while also recognizing that the project took longer than anyone wanted. We understand the frustration that a longer-than-expected remodel can cause.<br><br>Listening to our clients is incredibly important to our team. Remodeling is a collaborative experience, and our process is built around understanding how our clients want their home to look, feel, and function. Our designers bring their professional experience and make recommendations based on functionality, construction, aesthetics, and the overall goals of the project, but ultimately our clients make the decisions about their homes. We may not always agree on every design choice, but we believe every client deserves to be heard, understood, and treated with professionalism and respect throughout the process.<br><br>Because the timeline was a significant part of your review, we would like to provide some important context. Five days before construction was scheduled to begin, significant changes were made to the previously approved design. At that point, materials for the original design had already been received. We agreed to accommodate the new direction because we wanted the finished bathroom to reflect the design you ultimately chose. Revising the design and obtaining the newly selected materials delayed the start of construction by approximately three weeks.<br><br>An additional delay occurred with decorative tile purchased directly by the homeowner. Eight pieces were required for the project, but only five were initially purchased, requiring our installer to wait for the remaining material.<br><br>We do take responsibility for the shower glass. The original installation did not meet DreamMaker’s standards, and we were not comfortable leaving you with a finished product that did not meet our expectations. We ended our relationship with that glass company, hired another company to correct the installation, and absorbed the additional cost. Standing behind the quality of our work is important to us, even when that means making a correction at our expense.<br><br>We recognize that remodeling can be stressful, and we are disappointed that you do not feel the overall experience reflected the level of service we strive to provide. At the same time, we are proud of the quality and craftsmanship of your finished bathroom.<br><br>Although the project was completed six months ago, we would still welcome the opportunity to speak with you personally and better understand any concerns that remain. We especially loved creating the new zero-clearance shower with minimal glass to make it easier to maintain and clean.
