It's been a journey, they came out for a backed up bath tub, ended up pulling a toilet to locate the Septic, they pumped it and a month later it happened again. Later a second pump and a locate on the d box. The d box turned out to be collapsed and the pipe between the tank and it had also collapsed. Its been about $2200 dollars all said and done (2 pumps, 1 septic locate, 1 d box locate, and a dig up and pipe replacement) and 2 months. Maybe the most stressful, and costly moments of my life but it's behind me and with a wedding coming up in 2 months its a weight of my shoulders. They were great at working through any challenges and Bertha is a gem, Jonathan too.

I'm involved with a new home purchase and asked Best Jet Sewer and Drain to perform a full septic inspection. On the other hand, the seller wanted a certificate of septic compliance required for closing. Our realtors verified with them that they could perform a full septic inspection AND provide the certificate of compliance. Best Jet agreed that they could do both. After services were performed, neither requirement was satisfied. One, they are not authorised to provide the certificate of compliance, so we had to hire an alternate company for this, causing our realtors to eat the cost of their dishonesty. Two, their definition of a "full septic inspection" was a joke. It is commonly understood that this involves pumping the tank, checking for cracks and leaks, inspecting the baffles, evaluating the drain field, probing the soil, system mapping, inspecting the distribution box, a load-flow test, a dye test and providing a detailed report. They did not do most of these. They did indeed pump the tank, because we paid for that exact service, but the only things they did was visually inspect the tank and ask for the toilets to be flushed. They did not seem to evaluate the drain field to any capacity, they said the distributon box would be another $800, they did not do a load-flow test and did not do a dye test (although they provided dye packets for the seller to use themselves). Additionally, their "report" was an invoice that had three sentences on it that essentially said, "System seems fine, water was high, pump every 3-5 years." We are unhappy with Best Jet and would highly recommend another company. They deceived us in multiple ways and were not thorough with their services when we asked for thoroughness.
